Sweet Hearts on the Water

Chocolates, Strawberries, Cheesecake, Champagne, and Sailboats for Valentine's Day

Enjoyed Saint Arnold's BB6 (Rumpkinator, $9) at Hughies in Houston
Dressed in my red gown we had lunch at the Down House in Houston with large plump sauteed shrimp and NC stone ground grits in a pho broth piled with fresh cilantro and tops of green onions (chopped), and shrimp tacos with scrumptious cilantro sauce and red cabbage.  The drinks of Impeachment and a scotch cocktail delighted our tastebuds.

But to finish it off, we tried our favorite dessert, Bread Pudding (warmed in a microwave?) with a creamy (allegedly bourbon) source, that lacked the sweet bourbon sauce that I love like Brennans or Science Hill.  But luckily we had sweeter delights awaiting us for later.

Enjoyed a more casual dinner with friends at HYC and delicious pleasures (champagne and strawberries) on the sailboat: a perfect Valentine's Day for us.
