Quick Go Sailing

As my first order of business, I decree that all sailboats must leave the slip at least once a season and go for a quick sailing trip.

Fussy and frustrated with present Sailing Guides, I created my own: a fast, to the point, and up-to-date guide, for TX, LA, MS, and AL.

A Quickie Guide for Sailing Destinations on the Gulf Coast

Go for a Quickie.
A Texas Quickie is separated into six Coastal Areas along the Intracoastal Waterway based on their bays: Sabine Bay, Galveston Bay, West Bay, Matagorda Bay, Corpus Christi Bay, Laguna Madre.
Each Area is divided into CRUISING (links to correct Navigation Maps for the Bays, short observations by Statute Miles, bridges, channels, side trips, quick history along the way), MARINAS (latest and greatest), ANCHORING (by coordinates, anywhere without power), RESTAURANTS (local and close), & WEATHER (tide, currents, and forecast).
CHECKLIST:
  • Things to see along the way
  • Places to stay with plugging in
  • Places to eat close by
  • Places to anchor or tie up without plugging in
  • Find the Area's weather and tide
  $14.99 for Louisiana
